Exam Pattern
| Subject | Marks |
|---|---|
| Library Science | 100 |
| General Knowledge | 50 |
| Total | 150 |
- All questions are multiple choice (MCQ) and carry 1 mark each.
- There is no negative marking.
- Exam duration is 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes).
- The syllabus is the same as the Library Science graduation course at recognized universities in Bihar.
Normalization
If the exam is held in more than one shift, normalization will be applied to make the results fair. Your result will be decided on your normalized score, not your raw score.
For example, if a General category candidate gets a raw score of 76 out of 150 but the normalized score is 74.90, the candidate will be declared fail, because the qualifying mark is 75. Even though there is no negative marking, normalization can lower your score if you give more wrong answers than others.
Qualifying Marks
| Category | Qualifying Marks |
|---|---|
| General | 50% |
| Backward Class | 45.5% |
| Extremely Backward Class | 42.5% |
| SC / ST | 40% |

All qualified candidates will be given an eligibility certificate.
